It’s too bad. I was watching A League of Their Own over the weekend (March has me watching all of my baseball movies) and she was marvelous in it.
Then her brain got broken. Incurable TDS. Keep her, Ireland!
Having just gone to the store For Guinness soda bread and butter, There are a few things that I would miss. But with the explosion of the craft beer segment in this country, I can change labels with ease.
You gotta give her credit. At least she left when she said she was going to. all the rest of these people njust virtue signal and then stay exactly where they are in their rich enclaves. Of course she felt the need to tell all of us instead of just quietly sneaking away.
She appears as an actress in film, on television, or on video about 4x a year and has done so at a steady clip since 1986. She worked as a producer (about one project per year) from 1997 to 2016, but hasn’t done anything since. She used to do club standup years ago (and supposedly was brutal). Her most notable project as an entertainer was a daytime talk show which went off the air 23 years ago.

And, of course, one is reminded of Ellen deGeneres, who has done a similar quantum of acting (but whose acting credits are concentrated in one four year period) and also had a daytime talk show (on for 20+ years, though I’d wager given the evolution of the media landscape she had a smaller audience the R. O’Donnell).

Rosie O’Donnell was for five years marketed as ‘the Queen of Nice’. That was very strange given, for example, her public denunciations of her father (to which he never replied). And, of course, her domestic problems in re the children idiot social workers kept assigning to her household have been grisly enough that they made the papers.

Ellen deGeneres ended every program with ‘try to be kind’ or some such bromide. Then it emerged she had manufactured a working environment that her staff described as ‘toxic’. Now she and her squeeze have relocated to Britain, currently under the rule of Two Tier Keir. And looking after her 94 year old mother (demented by her daughter’s admission) would be???
