My Bride and I watched the first episode of House of David last evening. A very powerful evocation of Israel in the Tenth Century BC. As today Israel is surrounded on all sides by enemies, with the super powers of the day, Assyria and Egypt, waiting in the wings. The video was true to the Bible and the historical record as we can make it out, through a glass darkly. Stephen Lang, previous roles including Generals George Picket and Stonewall Jackson, is mesmerizing as the Prophet Samuel. Highly recommended.
