While we’re praying for Francis, could I ask for some prayers for my Dad (89), also hospitalized for the second time this month with pneumonia? Sadly, it is affecting his cognition.

The Pope’s medical situation has clearly been worse than presented. Some candor regarding the matter would be appreciated.
I will say he is a fighter.

Tom, Seniors can become confused when in the hospital. This happened to my father at age 88 in ICU when he came out of surgery. The hospital sent a shrink to interview him. Within a day or two he was fine. He lived to 90 and a half.
