24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
Matthew 16: 24-26

Science tells us that man uses 9% of his brain. The other 91% is an adventure into the wild blue yonder that God has created for man to explore. Jesus tells man how to explore the man whom God has created. Taking responsibility for oneself is truly a great adventure.
Christ said: “Follow Me”.

Suffering is not avoidable in life. It is different for everyone. It seems like every day I want to say the hell with it, throw down the cross that I have discussed elsewhere and walk away. I don’t know why I haven’t yet.
You probably don’t throw down the cross, or don’t throw it down for long, because He told you (and me) to take it up and follow Him. After all, He went to prepare a place for us. ‘Twould be a pity to not show up.
The biggest lie the Enemy tells is that he does not exist. Close behind it is the lie that things will “never change.” All things change. Never is a long time and likewise a deception. We are assigned a handful of decades here, before an choosing an eternity somewhere else.
