Amen. I will spare everyone my trademarked rant on the topic of how people dress for Mass.

Frank.
(I hear you.)

“Modesty” is not the name of a SUV by Honda., Yet many a Sunday-go-to-meeting person will attest that it is, since they haven’t a clue what modesty means. Low cut blouses and mini-skirts at Mass. It might as well be a nightclub.

A Nun slap on the back of the head might be appropriate …but then again…turning the other cheek could cause more scandal.👀

I would not just say thing culture…but an overall lack of maturity. Yoga pants make me cringe. So do torn jeans. Tattoos and body piercings come off as trying to emulate a culture that lacks a written language or any ability to advance itself.

The Latin Mass attendees dress better than most Novus Ordo massgoers.

Tattoos are a big problem. It doesn’t matter how lovely you dress, a visible tattoo cheapens everything. And they are permanent.

Dress changes behavior.
I once worked with an older guy who had been in the Navy. He told me that in a certain port, one of the bars required shoes. Not sneakers or sandals – shoes. He said the place always had the fewest fights.

I went to an Ace franchise yesterday. Was attended to by two clerks. One (working the register) had no clue and was attempting to roust other employees to assist with a walkie-talkie. Their response largely consisted of telling her they couldn’t understand her. They did manage to send out another clerk to hunt around for my item, which had been ordered online by the distaff side around here and set aside for pick up by me. Clerk 2 arrived at the cashier counter, received her instructions, and went back to locate it. She found it. In the break room.

Clerk 1 had half of her hair died a wheat color, a ring through her lower septum, acne, and a tattoo on her arm.. Clerk 2 was in torn jeans and a t-shirt. In December. Her hair had been cut with barber’s clippers on setting number two. It was dyed a shade somewhere between magenta and burnt orange. At least her name tag did not have her bloody pronouns on it. (I did appreciate she found my item, to be sure).

Yes, the plan by the Alta Vida of the Freemasons to destroy the Catholic Church over 100 years ago has come to fruition, and is gaining momentum

That’s why uniforms for children in schools are so important. It levels the playing fields. The public high school in my neck of the woods is trying to go to uniforms. Plenty of us will be happy to sponsor a child’s uniforms.

A new co-worker just started employment at our home. A human being that Jesus died for.
(That’s my charitable description. but I’m working on it.)

I hope I can help her/him.

I can’t begin to understand why self mutilation is a choice for someone so young, but that is my goal. To find out. To listen. To be there when the Holy Spirit opens the door, but not me alone. The Virgin Mary with me. It’s her Immaculate Heart that will help this individual. I hope I don’t get in Her way or spoil Her work.

These are the walking wounded with
nose rings, tat’s and clown hair. Breasts removed and ugly facial hair where there shouldn’t be any. These are our brothers and sisters who may have never stepped foot in a Church or heard Scripture read.

The past lives of many of these wounded is tragic and heartbreaking. Abused and lacking in trust.
Broken homes and hearts.

Are we our brothers keeper?

Pray that I may seek to understand…before being understood.

St. Francis..pray for all of us.

The average person was also more physically fit in ages past.

If it had the fewest fights, it probably had the smallest crowd of sailors.

Very true for the most part – although I have memories of busy mothers wearing rollers in their hair while going grocery shopping. Clearly, the same tribe that wears pajamas while going grocery shopping. I think the men, on the whole, were far better dressed pre-1975 or so.
