I was at work and overheard a co-worker make a statement the the FBI might be toast in the a few months. (?)
Their actions under Biden sure have earned it.

Ordinarily I’d be opposed to the government going after people’s pets, seems like overreach, but this is a squirrel we’re talking about! They’re born bad! Sure, he looked cute and all, but watch the videos … He’s always eyeing the gas stove, messing with electrical wires … He was on the verge of deliberately blowing this young, entrepreneurial couple sky high!
I applaud the government’s prioritizing the removal of this threat over less important criminal activity.

If my own experience as a government employee is representative (and that of my sister and dearest friend) the following are problems: (1) poor standards of recruitment, (2) poor methods of recruitment, (3) poor methods of promotion, (4) deficient labor discipline, (5) overstaffing in some departments, (6) understaffing of important departments, (7) maldeployment of manpower in important departments, (8) harassment of employees doing their jobs properly, (9) tolerance of abusive behavior by some employees. The whole squirrel incident suggests (5) and (9) at work. Republican politicians always seem clueless and otiose about how to fix any of this. (Democratic politicians aren’t interested in agency performance. Ever.).
