News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Capitol Police responded to an urgent call amid reports of a loud disturbance in the congressional offices today. Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib was later reportedly uninjured after her pager mysteriously exploded.
The incident occurred earlier Tuesday in Tlaib’s Capitol Hill office, where her pager had been sitting on a desk before spontaneously detonating, causing a significant scare but leaving no reported injuries.
“It just blew up right out of nowhere!” one of Tlaib’s staffers said following the explosion. “We were just going about our business, checking over the congresswoman’s itinerary of Death-To-Israel protests, when there was a huge blast in the next room. We went in there, papers were flying everywhere, and there was smoke… thank goodness she had put the pager on the desk. Such a crazy, unexplained incident, right?”
Tlaib’s staff was questioned on the origin of the pager but provided little clarification. “She said it was a gift from some dear friends,” one staffer explained. “Honestly, we thought it was a little weird for a U.S. congresswoman to be carrying a pager in 2024, but didn’t really think too much of it. Now it blew up in our office. I guess we’re seeing why people stopped carrying pagers now, right? I mean, those things are obviously dangerous!”

I thought we should send toy pagers to Congress. But then I thought not as they would call it an Insurrection and throw us all in jail for 20 years.
In all seriousness, I wouldn’t of been surprised if she had lost her arm when the “message” of (piece) be with you, was sent. Bee is on it.
I’m going to guess that the Mossad carefully left out any number of pagers that would make Israel’s allies look bad. Not saying that’s the case with Tlaib, but I’m thinking there had to be pagers in the US on the unedited list.
Digital supply chain risk management is something that many commercial vendors and suppliers ignore to everyone’s peril:
https://csrc.nist.gov/Projects/cyber-supply-chain-risk-management/publications
This is a very serious issue, especially in safety-related industries using digital instrumentation and controls (operational technology) equipment. What Mossad did to Hezbollah can be done to any embedded digital I&C, whether in aircraft, petrochemical facilities, nuclear power plants, etc. That’s why NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) came out with the documents that are accessible at the web page linked above.
BTW, most everything have embedded programmable chips – FPGAs, EEPROMS, etc – nowadays, from the HVAC in your home and the controls in your car to the programmable logic controllers at your local sewage treatment facility. Unless NIST supply chain controls are enforced, everything is vulnerable. Think about that.
Maybe we should take the people seriously who say it’s dangerous to let the Chinese build our communication infrastructure?
CAG & LQC are smarter than the average bear.
Wish our leaders who sniggle up to the CCP were!!
Gee, what would someone say to the boss if this happened?
