Trump the Lucky continues his streak. Today Federal District Judge Cannon dismissed the documents case on the grounds that the appointment of Jack Smith as Special Counsel violates the Appointments Clause of the Constitution and the federal funds used in the prosecution violate the Appropriations Clause of the Constitution. Justice Clarence Thomas recently, in Trump v. United States, gave a road map as to why the appointment of Jack Smith was improper:
“In this case, the Attorney General purported to appoint a private citizen as Special Counsel to prosecute a former President on behalf of the United States,” Thomas continued, adding that he’s “not sure that any office for the Special Counsel has been ‘established by Law,’ as the Constitution requires.” Even if the special counsel has a valid office, Thomas wrote, “questions remain as to whether the Attorney General filled that office in compliance with the Appointments Clause.”
Coming two days after his near miraculous cheating of death from an assassins bullet, this decision underscores that whatever else one may say about Trump, he is as lucky as he is tough.
Blessed. And we are also blessed.
Lots of people profess to believe that prayers make a difference even here in this vale. I do know lots of people who have been praying for him to be protected and blessed.
Perhaps the Judge heard Luke 16 1-9 recently and decided to make friends with the mammon of iniquity after Sat on the chance that that event the deal? (ie realized Sat was a game changer and he better hedge his bets)
Anzlyne.
I agree wholeheartedly.
50 years of child slaughter via bogus 1973 law
and a glimmer of hope..via Trumps appointments.
I think God is protecting Trump. But the Democratic demons of hell are in an uproar everywhere. With Trump rising bleeding, shaking his fist and crying, “Fight!” we see courage. With Comperatore’s death while protecting wife and daughter, we see love. Democrats, being demonic, hate courage and hate love.
