But, but we were told that the science was settled! When hysteria is in the saddle, utter grifters like Fauci rule the roost.

A 40+ year bureaucrat is not a scientist.
Some folks get their eternal reward now, while on earth…. then, after the great accounting, they wonder why they are left in such dismal conditions. The rich man in the Gospel was told that nobody can pass over the great abyss that separated him from the beggar who was being held by Abraham.
Sometimes six feet can seem like millions of miles of separation.
I hope Fauci becomes a philanthropist and in a enormous fashion. For the sake of the poor and for his poor soul.
Brownstone Institute is a good source for information on the errors of the past four years. Here’s a good example:

Pope Innocent X’s assessment of Richelieu upon news of his death applies pretty well to Fauci and his ilk: “If there is a God, then he has much to answer for. If there is no God, well, then, he’s led a very successful life.”
Sounds like comedian JP Sears was more right than he realized in this skit from 2020

Covid tore my family apart. My husband and I have been ostracized permanently by both my siblings and two of our three Millennial kids. I’m the only one taking care of my 98 year old mom (she has caregivers but I manage everything, shop, get medical care, etc etc etc.) My germaphobe brother in law orchestrated all this and also apparently eliminated his family from his life. They were all dumb enough to dance along with it but fauci definitely played the tune.
Icefalcon.
God bless your mom and your entire family.

The nightmares of separation from loved ones while stuck in the Assisted Living center. Ungodly.
It was heartbreaking. Families trying to speak through windowpanes and many of the residents had hearing impairments to begin with.
I can’t prove it, but I believe that some of the residents died of broken hearts. It was mandatory isolation. We worked overtime trying to comfort their sorrows with FaceTime and other video chat sessions and that did help.
Having to gown up just to bring them their meals made Halloween a daily event. Eventually we were able to loosen up on the draconian measures.
What a hell many of the seniors went through.
