Wilfred Reilly is an atheist conservative and he is doing more to defend the Church on this issue than Pope Francis ever will, since eating his apology would mean that Francis the Worst would have to admit a mistake, at best, or a deliberate lie to harm the Church at worst. Heckuva job Conclave of 2013, heckuva job.
Thought For The Day
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Atheist conservatives rarely stay that way. The virtues that come with conservatism all point to God – justice, honesty, objective truth, law.

Canada’s version of the “nuns threw babies into sewers” notorious hoax in Ireland a few years ago. Tragically there are still some, even some Catholics, who think there was some truth to it.
