I live 5 miles from their mother house. I know a number of them including Mother Assumpta and Sr. Joseph Andrew. They are uniformly theologically conservative, and uniformly joyful. They give me hope to offset the discouragement I feel about what’s happening in Rome. Now if they can just avoid the gaze of, and suppression by, the oppressor in chief.
LKL, I share your concern for all conservative religious orders, as PF already has taken some drastic steps to make it harder for any of them to survive, such as the lengthy formation period he instituted a few years ago. But these Sisters do practice the Novus Ordo, so perhaps they are not as high on Francis the Destroyer’s hit list.
