Wow…. you almost had me.
I did the double take.

An alien Jesus.
That’s what I see when I look at Rupniks art.
Maybe that is what he cultivated in his heart.
An imposter, pretending to be God,
Convincing him to act in ways foreign to authentic Christian living and teaching.

Maybe that explains the eyes.

(Or maybe I better have that first cup of coffee now.).

I used to see Rupnick’s artwork on 0CP missals. His art always struck me as strange and weird. Now that we know what he’s really like, we know why that is.

If only Rupnik’s only sin was art that creeps me out.

Stephen Dalton mentioned Rupnik’s artwork on OCP missals and I have seen it on their hymnals, too (when visiting company headquarters in Oregon – the local Catholic Church in Corvallis uses all that material). You see, OCP stands for Oregon Catholic Publishing. This explains so much dysfunction that I cannot discuss in a public forum. The entire Willamette Valley with all its churches, its colleges and universities, and its government facilities produces only dysfunctional leadership. Yes, most of Oregon outside of the Willamette Valley is very traditional conservative Republican, but everything from Portland through Salem and Covallis to Eugene is godlessly sickeningly liberal progressive Democrat, and that includes Catholic parishes. Supposedly there are a couple of Russian Orthodox parishes near Corvallis. Maybe the next time I am called to report to headquarters, I will go such a parish. They don’t tolerate sodomite artwork or coffee-table literature, and I can’t stand the Novus Ordo clown crap.

I find Rupnik’s artwork to look dated- something out of the 70’s and 80’s that doesn’t not translate well. It’s not timeless. Quite dated infact.

Not SJ. Even they know when to walk away and when to run.

“Frater Asinus” has a hard time lampooning this “pontificate.” Could be real.

The problem of this pontificate is:

Just when you think you’ve hit bottom, you fall into the Death Valley depression…Then the bottom of the Dead Sea. Next the Marianas Trench… Next..

Journey to the center of the Earth. With Pope Frank.
