God, in His mercy, sends saint like her into the world as torches, to light the way for the rest of us through this Vale of Tears.

Brave lady, no doubt! Her moral compass was a great blessing to her and to her son. Her place seems secure, thanks be to God!
But also pray for the widower spouse, that he may not come to regret supporting his wife’s generosity. He has years to go without the company of this good woman. His loss will be hard to bear sometimes, I think. The world will not be kind (or quiet) about his wife’s sacrifice. Pray that he keeps close to Our Lord.
Kudos to the pope for seeing this family. Contrasted with some recent audiences, especially.
