I suspect Pope Francis didn’t have the guts to pull the trigger on homosexual inclusion. He was outnumbered politically and I suspect the penny dropped at the eleventh hour when he realised the Pandora’s box he was about to open.
On a side note, in reference to the “spirit” which they often refer to in this Synod, I’ve noticed Eucharist ministers saying “bless you” and not “May The Body of Christ Bless you” when blessing children who cannot yet receive the Eucharist and who go up for a blessing. “Bless you”, as in what you say when someone sneezes. Whilst holding the Body of Our Lord Jesus. Aye yay yay.
My commentary on the devastation that that herertical Marist Peronist Caudillo has wreaked on the Lord’s vineyard:

May God Almighty depose and anathematize him straight back to Argentina from whence he came, because obviously no one else can or will.
They will regroup and try again next year, unless the Lord has other plans. The left never stops pushing, we should know that by now.
Ezebelle, non ordained should not be blessing people at all. I don’t allow my children to go up to EEMCs for that reason.
Steven- yes you are right. We try and go into the Communion line with the priest but that is not always possible. I’d rather my 6 year old learnt to walk up reverently and receive a Eucharistic Blessing than sit in the pew. Ideally, it would be great to have more priests so we don’t have to settle for lay Eucharistic ministers.
There’s no shame in celebrating a win, though. It’s ok if we just say “yay”.
And now they can talk about it (women’s ordination or homosexual blessings) forever – coming soon to a parish near you!
The great paradigm shift is that they can talk in circles, complete nonsense, forever…
