Rupnik seems to be so favored by the Pope he might even get away with celebrating a Latin Mass.
What he considers scandalous and how he twists reality and shifts attention by gaslighting(?) Same day can hardly be a coincidence.
In the past, I’ve had the priviledge (?) of being a fly in some high powered circles, and what I have noticed is that some leaders only have about a 4 or 5 key touchstones, tropes, or anecdotes to fall back on. Off the cuff interviews result in those coming out and PF’s favorite is the cassock and lace strawman of clericalism. It’s the sign of a shallow intellect, a very busy person, or both.
BillR, I’ll go with a shallow intellect that is very busy being shallow.
Preparatory prayers prior to wearing the
garments;
Give virtue to my hands, O Lord, that being cleansed from all stain I might serve Thee with purity of mind and body. As you put on the cassock: Dóminus, pars hereditátis meæ et cálicis mei, tu es qui restÃtues hereditátem meam.
33 buttons on the cassock to remind the priest of the 33 years that Christ lived on this dusty blue ball. Humility is THE foundational virtue upon which all others are supported.
Without humility you have an empty chair.
Please Almighty Father, bestow upon the Church your Son founded, a worthy, humble and virtuous successor of Saint Peter.
On this day of prayer and fasting to aid the innocents in the middle east, aid as well the children who fall prey to predators who, filled with lust, scandalize your Son’s Holy Catholic Church as they neglect their ordination promises.
With humble and contrite hearts, we bow our heads to your divine Providence and Trust in You always.
Has Rupnik been given faculties, or has he been incardinated but remains suspended?
The full intervention is here and it’s way worse than you’d think, although the full quote from above is a little better. He said “it is enough to go to ecclesiastical tailor’s shops in Rome to see the scandal of young priests trying on cassocks and hats or albs and lace-covered robes”. Worldliness is always a risk in Rome.

Ironic much?
