A Catholic in bad standing is still a Catholic I suppose. A Catholic politician, in his formal capacity, is balancing a mill stone over his head as he walks over the great abyss on a wet log for a bridge. At his age, in his health, he doesn’t have much more time to repent. It’s sad.
As he receives Holy Communion unworthily, the stone becomes heavier.
Prayers for his soul.
He knows not what he’s doing, nor the consequences that await him.

If he had a glimpse of Hell that the Fatima children had in July of 1917, he be would be a different man. I honestly don’t think that he considers hell a possibility for himself.

From 2014, the Catholic Thing blog picked up on topic of Hell and Joe. Hypocrite that he is, he see’s only the splinter in his neighbors. The beam in his own eye is the grand support of killing innocent children, but hey. He’s Joe. Hell isn’t possible for himself. Come on man.
