Go here to read the rest. Miracles and Catholics ever walk hand in hand. Living from 1828 and dying on December 24, 1898 Saint Charbel Makhlou, the Miracle Monk, lived out his life in the glare of modern history. The miracles that began immediately after his death and have continued to this day would be derided as fantasies if told of a medieval saint. Miracles tell us that our God loves us and that this life is merely a portal to the wonders to come for those who believe in Christ.
