That’s pretty good, as expected from the Bee.
My Starbucks story: back when I was still toiling in the corporate law mines, I stopped in to a Starbuck’s near the SMU campus after a CLE class. I didn’t really want coffee that late in the day, so I politely asked the young lady behind the counter if they had any Coke or Pepsi or some other soft drink to sell. The little “lady” laughed in my face and walked away. So did I. Last time I was ever in one of their stores and so it will remain. And this was over ten years ago.

The Starbucks near me must be awash in conservatives. I was in line for a pastry, and did not know what I wanted for my drink, so I simply said “Whatever the closest thing is to a large Columbian with cream.”

The young lady turned and yelled the translation to the person working the big steamer machine, who then made me a large Columbian with cream, and when she gave it to me she cheerfully rang up my “blueberry scone and a large Columbian with cream” even though the receipt said something else entirely.

If Starbucks is the best coffee you can get in the US then you have my sympathy. If you want good coffee from my neck of the woods then you go to the local cafe. Good quality beans and the crema ontop is always perfect. Not like Starbucks industrial taste. When Starbucks flooded Australia with Starbucks franchises decades ago only a few stores survived. Having said this, all the young people I know like their caramel-frappe-two-shots-iced-whatever- cause those drinks are chocka block full of sugar!
