In Ron Nessen’s account, the Ford-the-Klutz meme was manufactured by reporters who took two actual incidents where he had tripped on steps (one going up the stairs at a historic monument in Spain, another coming down the stairs from Air Force One) and asked the poleaxed Nessen question after question at a news conference about the one (Nessen says “You have to be joking”) and by completely fabricating a report on another, wherein they had Ford spreadeagled at the bottom of the stairs, something which never happened.
I despise Biden. Nevertheless, keeping him in office is elder abuse. That said, his replacement Kamala would be worse for the nation.
