Wonder where those guns will end up?
Don’t know this except anecdotally, but I have a feeling most gun buybacks are from law abiding citizens who are scared to death of getting in trouble for having a gun in blue states / cities. surviving spouses of gun owners, heirs etc. I’d love to see some numbers on this.
The guns are inherited, sold by heirs who have no use for them.
The police department & a nonprofit in inner city Little Rock, AR had a gun buy back during Covid times. The last I heard, NOT ONE gun was turned in.
