Spiritually she was a mystic and a contemplative. Physically she was a bulldozer in human form. Outspoken, fearless and funny, she blazed a path for her and her Poor Clares. She could be very, very blunt. After one of the many attempts of the Bishops to get their claws on EWTN she memorably said: “I’ll blow the damn thing up before you get your hands on it.”
I suspect she is having a busy after life as she enjoys the Beatific Vision and intercedes for believing Catholics in their travails. In this Vale of Tears God in His mercy sends us torches to light our way. Mother Angelica was, and is, such a torch.
i pray for her every day. She was so instrumental in my faith life. She always told the truth no matter the cost. I love Mother.
