I have been hearing rumors of factional fighting in the Communist Party of China, and I guess this demonstrates that those rumors are correct. Odd that they would do this before videos. Chinese bots are saying that Hu Jintao was being helped out because of a health emergency. I don’t buy it. Much more likely is that President Xi was demonstrating that he is in full control and everyone else, including a prior President, has to tow the line.
And speaking of towing the line:
I am almost surprised that Xi did not have Pope Francis appear at the Congress to kiss Xi’s shoes.
