And Then the War Came

Two Harvard and Yale Professors of Law argue in an op ed in The New York Times that Leftists should work to overthrow the Constitution through legislation.  Go here and here to read about it.  Too many Leftists want all non-Leftists in this country disenfranchised in perpetuity and treated as enemy aliens, their beliefs treated as hate speech, hounded from jobs and left to eke out a starveling existence at best..  With each passing day they are pushing us ever closer to Civil War II.  The country is dancing on the edge of a vast precipice.  I pray that this looming disaster may be averted, but this debacle has been building for a very long time and our leaders seem to specialize in pouring gasoline on the flames.

I don’t see a literal war coming in our life time. People are to cozy on their sofas with their Netflix, tiktoks and Grunhub to get up and fight. A war is a lot different than a riot which is basically a tantrum.

Leftism in all its forms is totalitarian by nature. This is one reason libertarian proposals rise in reaction to leftist actions, i. e. school boards, local petty regulations, etc.

I could be wrong if course , but I’ll play amateur war games. Say one side takes and destroy urban areas and sympathetic government leaders do nothing or even join in. The “enemy” would naturally leave those areas to suburbs and countrysides. The opposition would need to pursue in order to win and I don’t think they’d have the stomach for it or the discipline.

I hope & pray that there is no civil war. But the truth is that I can’t stand liberals, and I am sure that they can’t stand people like me. Yes, I oppose the initation of force. I would NOT start violence against a liberal much less use my rifle. But I can see myself in a public place overhearing some liberal make an asinine comment and me giving a rejoinder likely to earn me a black eye. My wife constantly tells me to keep my big mouth shut. Probably wise advice given my physical condition and inability to fight. I still want godless liberal progressive feminism and its religion of materialistic scientism eradicated from this country once and for all.

I don’t see this as a brooding civil war, unless you think Tiananmen Square was a civil war. A coup is more likely, and even more likely than that is a “state of emergency” that allows those in power to remain in power indefinitely. One way or another, as in ancient Rome, it all comes down to who has the support of the troops, and especially the Praetorian Guard.
