Mirrors My Current Take

Oh, and don’t be misled by the typical August swoon of Republicans in most current polls of registered voters.  Even before GOP voters became harder to poll, pollsters had noticed this effect with Republican voters tending to be away with families on vacation in late July into the middle of August.  This happens in most election years and signifies nothing.

Interesting and so far, so good…also, thanks for the reminder about the “summer vacation” factor.

Mitch McConnell, yes, he keep Merritt Garland off the Supreme Court. But his latest comment on the poor quality of GOP candidates is poisonous.

The dems are hoping they can make it through the mid terms before the Inflation Act fully kicks in. When it does, the 2024 election should be a lock for the Republicans if they don’t drop the ball.

:looks at her grocery bills:
Heaven knows they won’t be able to beat inflation kicking in.

Hm.
There’s a thought… folks might be noticing grocery inflation more, this year, because of online shopping.

Especially if they use multiple stores– I regularly check my Amazon subscriptions against stuff in the store, and if the immediate is the same or better price I buy it, but lately I’ve noticed the Amazon subscriptions being significantly more expensive, and still cheaper than what’s on the shelf.

I already paid attention to prices going up– but the people who didn’t? I think they’re going to see it, now.

Tim Walz has a commercial where he claims to have “fixed the economy without raising taxes.” I’m sure that isn’t playing well with most voters. Every single other political ad I’ve seen this year from dems is about abortion.

I’m worried about the Florida senate race … Rubio seems to be phoning it in.

I’m concerned about the Michigan Governor’s race. I have seen very, very little from Tudor Dixon. Perhaps she is spending all her energy in the Detorit area. I just can’t see the rest of us going for Whitmer, but who knows
