Last night ‘Final Jeopardy’ answer was, “They used DNA of two known descendants of Anne of York to identify this English king’s body.” The Answer was “Who was Richard III?” They had found the remains under an English parking lot.
It should work well.
As I understand it, southern dialect is the closest to Shakespeare’s English.
Hank, that’s my understanding as well. Don’t recall where I picked that up, however.
Southern MD counties and Tidewater to include the Northern Neck are supposedly close to Elizabeth English. My house in NNK speak has two chimleys not chimneys.
