O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest of all my sins because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell, but most of all because I have offended Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love.
And I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life. Amen.

Off topic. Someone in Christopher Johnson’s circle is evidently planning a memorial service for him so thought to place a notice of it in the suburban paper published where he’s spent much of his life. The date, time, and place are not yet fixed, but they indicate they’d prefer to hold the service on 23 April at a local park in Webster Groves, Mo.
The Friends of the Library in Webster Groves, Mo. has a Facebook page, but no mention of this. His sisters have Facebook accounts, but no posts about it.
A worthy memorial Art. I miss him.
I’m missing him. I’ve had some personal concern for his welfare all these years, though we never met in meatspace. On his blog, he mentioned personal issues from time to time (including surgery, IIRC), but not any crippling medical problems. Bar that every shirt-tail was listed by name, I might have guessed reading it that a library patron or co-worker had written the obituary.
