The insane reactions to Covid by governments around the globe have reshuffled the political deck and a lot of people do not realize it yet.
I used to like Maher when he was just a standup comic. Then he became a tool of the political Left and I gave up on him. In the past few weeks he has regained my respect. I’m sure there are not many issues we would agree on, but at least he seems to be inclined to go back to our former model of respectful disagreement and more or less civil debate. Good on him.
