Inorganic Chemistry is Tough

Well, at least it is an original excuse for botching an exam:

Kyla Golding, who was a Harvard Crimson editorial editor, left the university due to the “silence and avoidance between myself and my educators when it comes to black women’s lives,” she wrote in an opinion article Friday.

“I took an inorganic chemistry exam the same day that a grand jury failed to charge two police officers with the murder of Breonna Taylor. That day, my body inhaled molecules of white supremacy as they seeped out of my computer from that proctored Zoom room,” Golding said. “They entered my bloodstream and catalyzed a metabolism that would allow for the invasion of my body by a violently infectious life form.”

I must say incoherent twaddle of that caliber took a lot of thought to come up with!

Only in wealthy nations would incoherent twaddle be valued.

First of all, politics has no place in a chemistry class. Second, how would she expect to perform as a doctor if stressors like that make her unable to take an exam? “I’m sorry but I can’t do your surgery this week because I read the news this morning.” Really?

If she had used “organic chemistry” instead of “inorganic chemistry,” I would have sympathized with her. But to cavil at the nice and logical principles of inorganic nomenclature and crystal field theory? For shame!!!

Fortunately, many in the black community actually do believe black lives matter and are intelligent enough to realize the medical racism of the past was real where our government used them as guinea pigs for “science” and refuse to get the jab. Unlike this demented woman, who can afford to go to college, common sense is worth more than attending Harvard.

I would have lasted three weeks in Chaminade HS from which my sons graduated.

My, even weaker excuse, was “I was drinking when I should have been thinking.” Well, I was. She was listening to fake news.

Heck, I walked onto a philosophy final exam and the prof asked if I was in the wrong room.

Chemistry is hard. It’s not susceptible to wailing and gnashing of teeth.

She could have tried the classic “the dog ate my footnotes” or “aliens abducted me and reprogrammed my mind”. But hey! Blame white supremacy for your academic ineptness. 😂
