PopeWatch: China

Go here to read the article.  Dialogue for the sake of dialogue, even when it accomplishes nothing and hurts the Church in China?  PopeWatch hopes that the Pope is being bribed by China, because the alternative is that the Pope is simply irrational on China.

In the article the Pope speaks of being open minded yet he won’t even dialog with one of our own;

Cardinal Joseph Zen, the bishop emeritus of Hong Kong and a strident critic of the Vatican-China deal, has been unable to secure an audience with Francis during his trips to Rome in recent years, and key officials known to be quietly opposed to the diplomatic deal have been pointedly cycled out of positions of authority. –

This is thorn in my side when I read the Pope’s message and he clearly won’t take his own advice.
CCP has it’s teeth into American politics as well as The Holy Catholic Church. The Red Dragon is alive and well and the defenders against it?
Biden? Pope F.?

Either he’s been bribed or he’s irrational? Oh, there’s another alternative with this heretic.

“Cardinal Joseph Zen, the bishop emeritus of Hong Kong and a strident critic of the Vatican-China deal, has been unable to secure an audience with Francis during his trips to Rome”

What hypocrisy. All the yapping in the world with China yet snubs the good Cardinal. Look, each culture has its characteristics and if there is one thing to learn about Chinese is Mao has conditioned them into an army of do-ers. They are like a dog with a bone. To Francis it’s dialogue that might have progress (I’m not convinced the Pope is that stupid), but to the Chinese they very well know they have the upper-hand and to them it’s a matter of humouring the west and all it stands for. The Chinese as a government and the people who blindly follow are sneaky. Where we in the West will say and do it to your face, in China they have more than one face and there is no honesty or integrity or good-Faith factored into their behaviour. And this is why they cannot be trusted as a country. So the Pope is only “dialoguing” to make himself feel like he is doing something. The Pope knows the Chinese government are untrustworthy, but isn’t clever enough to come up with an alternative to outsmart them and protect the Church in China. He is out of his depth on this one. Poor leadership by the Pope. The sad thing is if he actually cared about the Church and loved the Church he would recognise his shortcoming and relinquish the Chair of Peter.
