The squandering of the patriotism, finest blood and generosity of the American people by military and political elites for two decades in Afghanistan cries to Heaven for justice. Only God will care however, certainly not our worthless political class.

Well put. Fearless, Feckless Leader is on vacation this weekend. Incredible!!! I want him and all his inept associates strapped in their chairs and forced to watch all the videos in big screen living color and surround sound the carnage they have wrought. They can”t blame this on Trump. My brother’s was over there last year again on special assigment. I have a young friend, a recent ranger school grad I cant bare to call to see if they are deployed. So all i can do is sit in the dark of night and pray to St Michael and Our Lady in the Rosary for the safety and souls of US forces and our Afghani allies. I vividly remember Saigon.
Afghanistan was a debacle from the beginning. There was never any long-term plan to deal with that place, just as Iraq had no long term plan (and that one only worked out better because Iraq has a less tribal mindset). But then, the US hasn’t had a war-winning attitude since WW2. Always fighting the last war, and hating any new ideas until after the end of the current one.
Oh, and then they love to blame the Intel folks for the failures, when in reality it was the brass that didn’t want to listen to what the intel folks were saying when it differed from what they wanted to hear.
