The national debt is now $28.4 trillion, up from $22.5 trillion September 2019. There are plans to add about $4.7 trillion in the short term. There is no way it can be repaid or even pay the interest paid without INFLATION.
Since the March 2020 China virus lockouts, $7 or $8 trillion extra money-for-nothing was pumped into the economy. That’s 37% [3/8 if you like fractions better] of pre-China virus lockdown US GDP [$21.7 trillion]. About 39 cents of every Federal budget/spending dollar was printed by the Fed which balance sheet total assets grew nearly 100% – $4.1 trillion [March 2020] to $8.3 trillion, now. Nearly all of it UST securities [simply debit/add to UST securities, credit/add to US checking account].
So, adding $7 or $8 trillion to the economy resulted in GDP growth of $3.3 trillion [2Q2020 $19.4 trillion; 2Q2021 $22.7 trillion].

In addition to mass money printing [monetary mania] and gargantuan deficit spending [fiscal foolishness], they’re artificially keeping [in fact, since 4Q2008 with temporary rises in 2017 and 2018 to Get Trump!] market interest rates at near zero, unnaturally subsidizing private and public interest expenses on the grossly unsustainable debts.
This will not end well. This happens when you allow the same central planners that caused the last crisis solve the next crisis . . . .ad infinitum.
