The Ashli Babbitt situation is the clearest sign of how the left views the political battle. Ask a leftist about Babbitt and you’ll only get the response “she got what she deserved.” If you’re really lucky you might get the addition “the only problem was that the cops didn’t kill more people that day.”
Don’t think for a second that the left attacks police because they care about “police brutality.” They are mad because “their guys” (i.e. criminals and thugs) are attacked.
