Spot the Weasel Words!

A non-denial denail.  What are the weasel words designed to give a completely false impression?

  1. “Intelligence target”-The NSA spies on people all the time without them being intelligence targets.
  2. “NSA has never planned to take him off the air” But the people they leak the intelligence to do have such plans.  The NSA of course lacks the power to take him off the air which makes the statement meaningless as to whether they are spying on him.
  3. “NSA may not target a US citizen without a court order”-See number one.  The NSA has surveilled countless US citizens without a court order.
  4. “With Limited Exceptions”-The phrase which swallows the non-denial denial.

The standard of phrasing of this non-denial denial is shockingly bad.  I could write a non-denial denial more artfully in my sleep.

Could you write a clearer denial?

It’s the NSA. It’s not just that they are unaccountable to the public.

They aren’t even used to communicating with the bipedal bovines they digitally hover over.

Imagine Pavlov having to send a press release to his huskies, and you’re in the ballpark here.

Pinky:
“No one employed by, contracted by or associated with the National Security Agency has either monitored or accessed any of Mr. Carlson’s electronic correspondence in any way whatsoever. We flatly deny any and all allegations to the contrary.”

So, yeah, Don is 100% correct: you could float a missile cruiser through the loopholes in that statement.

Tried another way: substitute the name and livelihood of a loved one for Carlson’s in the NSA’s statement and see if you are comforted.

I hope I am wrong, but I suspect it won’t be long before Tucker Carlson is the victim of an accident (like a car accident, a falling accident, whatever), or he commits suicide via a bullet tot he back of the head. This is what Democrats do. And the only thing that can be done about it is what was done in 1860 through 1865. I hope that never comes to pass.

Not buying that Epstein or McAfee committed suicide.

Another blogger I cross paths with (a sensible fellow, if overly black-pilled) is wagering a Republican senator will be assassinated in the next year or so, in order to force through the Democrats’ vote-fraud-in-every-state legislation. He’s also wagering that Biden will be removed from office by the end of the year, because he is deteriorating rapidly and the drugs they are giving him are less and less effective.

Republican Senators representing states with Democratic governors are Messrs. Moran and Marshall of Kansas; Cassidy and Kennedy of Louisiana; Johnson of Wisconsin; McConnell and Paul of Kentucky; Burr and Tillis of North Carolina; Toomey of Pennsylvania; and Collins of Maine. I hope these people are well armed and make a point of not announcing their movements beforehand.

This is what Democrats do.

Not until fairly recent years. One suspicious death from the years prior to 2015 was James McDougal.

Art,

McDougal, through his failed S&L, highly likely had incriminating records on the Clintons. There are legal records retention requirements on federally-chartered banks’ and S&Ls’ records.

If they [you know who] were intent on uncovering the truth on the Clinton financial crimes, they didn’t need McDougal.

If there had been Rs behind the Clinton’s names, those records would have been leaked to the NYT, etc. There are Ds. Ergo, everybody – the deep state, media, academia, etc. – remained uber curiously uncurious.

The latest BS is the results of the totalitarians’ five-year witch hunt of Trump Organization tax returns wherein they are – completely opposite to IRS practice – prosecuting a CFO and TO because they refused to stab in the back Trump. FYI – they do not pursue criminal charges over opinion differences in claimed tax deductions such as tuition and rental reimbursements: they bill the taxpayer fro the recalculated tax, plus interest and penalties. They customarily prosecute when income is illegally not reported, and there is a high cut-off for that – 30 years ago it was $3,000 underpaid taxes for individuals – a friend is a former IRS agent.

The buzz at the time was they either withheld McDougal’s heart meds or replaced them with poison.

IIRC, it was established with that his heart medications was withheld.

The biggest tell is the aside about how the NSA “may not” target Americans with “limited exceptions.” This is meant to imply that it would be impossible for Tucker to be spied on. But of course it means no such thing since even the statement itself alludes to how Americans could be spied on, and we do know that the NSA has spied on American citizens. The only question is whether the NSA used exceptions or loopholes to spy on Tucker specifically, which the statement does nothing to address.

It’s like a used car salesman saying “this man claims that I sold him a lemon, but our cars, with only very rare exceptions, all pass our extensive safety tests before they are sold.” Completely sidesteps the claim while initially appearing to be addressing it.

It’s not necessarily the growth of big government that scares me lately or cancel culture or this totalitarian woke religion…
It’s the fact that this kind of atmosphere brings out all the crazies, narcissists and megalomaniacs.

Isn’t the point of spying to not let on that someone is being spied on. Otherwise what’s the purpose. As if they themselves belivebthe public or going to buy their denil…Carlson better have some good producers and a channel executives in his corner who are willing to put their necks out for him at their own expense or he is toast. That, or he will start toning down the truth on his shows to take the heat off him for a while…are the ratings high on his show? Ratings are valuable ammunition for him.
