Anyone remember how the last number of the car license determined whether one could buy gas on an odd or even day?
The federal government “SHOULD be looking at how to deal with ransonware”! Is there any forward thinking in this illicit Biden administration? The gas station lines were long in Fredericksburg yesterday.

That was in New York, during Gov. Wilson’s time. Cannot recall how long that lasted. Maybe a year.

I was stationed in Washington Navy Yard at the time and the odd even regimen was in force. Luckily I had an MG with a small gas tank.
There was a lot of crime in DC. The Yard was in SE. We had one company of marines billeted within the walls for security. After a marine was murdered in the barracks shower, and a woman raped in the Naval District HQ bldg., the Commandant walked me to my car every evening on his way to his quarters. No one wanted to run out of gas until a bridge was crossed into MD or VA. Especially if the car had a rag top like mine.
