Dunno if this is true or not. All kinds of teh Crazy in the last year.
I’m persuaded that the only thing that can fix academe is for red state legislatures to quit sitting on their hands and go Kenesaw Mountain Landis on particular institutions. A mild version of that would be a piece of statutory law that strips from a given institution the franchise to teach a particular subject and requires the faculty who’ve been teaching it to be put out on the curb. The people ruining higher education have been allowed to do so by rank-and-file faculty. It’s only when the rank-and-file faculty are under siege themselves from people they cannot control that they’ll stand up to the vicious clowns among them.

If you thought Naomi Wolf was being florid, check out this shmuck and his acolytes. He’s a law professor at UCSD and UCLA who get a mess of media gigs. This is the Democratic Party.
