PopeWatch: Don’t Let a Crisis Go to Waste

Pope Francis morphed into Rahm Emanuel so slowly that we barely noticed it:

“What is happening can awaken everyone. It is time to remove social injustice and marginalization. If we seize the current trial as an opportunity, we can prepare for tomorrow under the banner of human fraternity, to which there is no alternative, because without an overall vision there will be no future for anyone. By putting this lesson to good use, the leaders of nations, together with those with social responsibilities, can guide the peoples of the Earth towards a more prosperous and fraternal future. Heads of state should talk to one another, confront each other more and agree on strategies. Let us all keep in mind that there is something worse than this crisis: the drama of wasting it. We cannot emerge from a crisis the same as before: we either come out better or we come out worse.”

Form a book length interview of the Pope:  “God and the World to Come”, by Domenico Agasso.  Go here to read the rest.

With Pope Francis no conspiracy theories are needed;  he supplies all the evidence from his own mouth.

Its difficult to understand what the Pope is talking about.

Meanwhile, he’s just announced he will NOT be blessing same-sex unions. Everywhere, LGBTIQHIJKZZ Catholics hopes have been dashed. He sent a 2 page letter to God explaining his position. God is yet to respond.

My late sister, lapsed special ed teacher, once told me that people outside her trade were generally unaware that unintelligent people can often be quite cunning. The Pope reminds me of that.

“Pope” continues to follow the utopian way of Satan. What we really have a nearly universal crisis of faith in God which the “Pope” continues to ignore.

Scripture is left on the shelf for that overall vision of control.

Reminds me of that cute cartoon video of flower child Papa Frances that appeared here some time ago.

“…human fraternity, to which there is no alternative, because without an overall vision there will be no future for anyone.”
He has no Christian Faith at all and his actions have told us this over and over.

He is a bad caricature of an atheist, almost cartoonish. Mike Meyers couldn’t have dreamed him up, mostly because the Pope simply isn’t even funny. He is beyond tiresome. If he was a house guest, he would have worn out his welcome by now.

This quote looks in line with the social encyclicals of the past 100+ years.

To me, the great divergence of Francis from Rerum Novarum and its progeny is his almost constant failure to make reference to Christ or to eternal salvation in his “social justice” utterances. On those rare occasions when he does mention our Lord, it seems never to be in the context of eternity.

The most respectful thing you can do to the post is to ignore his writings.

For centuries the vast majority of Catholics never knew of a single word that their pope said, and they got by just fine. The only reason that we analyze every word of the pope now is because of the twin demons of the 24 hour news cycle (which fools us into thinking that we can know everything that happens in the world) and the worship of democracy (which makes us feel obligated to be informed on everything).

If the pope does infallibly develop doctrine we will know ten, twenty years down the line. But most of the day to day stuff falls into one of two categories: either completely irrelevant to the faith, or so confusingly written that there is no edification in reading it.

Regrettable that the current situation isn’t seen first and foremost as an opportunity to propose Christ to the world, as in “repent and believe the gospel!” I’d like to see that attitude more evident among all people of faith. This is an opportunity…not for another utopian, political initiative, but rather to turn wholeheartedly to the Lord our God.

@ Chris C.

Today some factions of our Holy Catholic Church might say your, too rigid. Repent?
Why, that would go against everything my social justice system believes in.

Isn’t it better to just not judge one another? Go along to get along. God makes mistakes in gender assessments. There are not any pedophiles, just folks who are attracted to minors. Worship the Earth since she is worthy of worship. Only we can save her.

Biden IS a devout Catholic.

Traditional Latin Mass discriminates against those who don’t know Latin and is rude to the congregation because the priests won’t face us when we want.

The eurchrist is symbolic only.

Women should be able to be Priests, Bishops, Cardinals and Pope’s.

Awoman. To say Amen is demeaning to women.

Oh……and abortion IS sacred. A sacrament for women.

The above litany is in part how, Catholics in name only, we’re able to vote Obama and Biden into the White House.

For over forty years the silence from our Bishops created an avenue, wide and easy, that allowed your fellow citizens to damn themselves to hell.

Now we have a so-called President who boasts of being devout to help prolong the scandal.

Chris.
Your post is absolutely true.

Forgiveness.

Proposing Christ to the world.

Amen Chris.
