PopeWatch: Saying Nothing at Length

The above non-statement statement, which in no way alters the Vatican policy to their workers of you will get the vaccine or be canned, puts to mind, as does so many cya statements of this kidney stone of a pontificate, the following passage from Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series:

“The analysis was the most difficult of the three by all odds. When Holk, after two days of steady work, succeeded in eliminating meaningless statements, vague gibberish, useless qualifications – in short, all the goo and dribble – he found he had nothing left. Everything cancelled out.

Lord Dorwin, gentlemen, in five days of discussion didn’t say one damned thing, and said it so you never noticed.”

Heresy? Maybe not. Just more money on the dismembered body of a sinless, murdered child.
.
I get it. The Vatican is comprised of rather elderly people, but this fear in the face of a nasty pneumonia bug is not a good look for Christians.
.
If the Holy Father (probably JPII but certainly Benedict) had not passed over the very real problem of vaccines (and other drugs) from aborted children, we might not be in this mess today.
.
Very sad they have not highlighted the sin of gluttony. There is very little we can do about getting older. There is a lot we can do about the food we eat that contribute to co-morbidities such as hypertension, COPD diabetes, and obesity.
