Jackasses Braying to Themselves

News that I missed, courtesy of The Babylon Bee:

U.S.—Within minutes of the news of the death of Rush Limbaugh, Democrats, well known as the party of love, empathy, and progress, began to rejoice over the death of their political opponent.

The party that is known for standing against hate in all its forms, the party that has chanted “Love Trumps Hate!” for the last four years, the party that calls the other side hateful bigots who will be on the wrong side of history for their opposition to love and tolerance, all cheered loudly and danced on Limbaugh’s grave on social media for much of the day Wednesday.

“Listen, hate has no home here — wait, Limbaugh’s dead? Wooohooooo!!!” shouted one progressive podcaster. “Today should be a national holiday!” She then jumped on Twitter and garnered thousands of likes and retweets for tweeting horrible things about a man she disagreed with.

In my conversations with him, we talked about the issues and despite the disagreements, he also took time to give me advice about hosting, style, connecting w the audience, etc. He encouraged me and gave me advice that made a huge difference in my career… 5/
He approached me and everyone else as separate individual worthy of respect and with a desire to help and inspire. Regardless of the fact that I stood for everything he stood against. It was a generosity of spirit you would never see on the left 6/
The impact of realizing that I’d been lied to about Rush was significant, but that as a conservative he represented more of what I felt was valuable & important was a revelation. He made it possible to even consider that which is what made him so dangerous to the left 7/
During this time as an activist leftist, it was talk radio, the audience, & meeting Rush Limbaugh that was the undeniable trigger making it possible for me to rethink my alliances & eventually leave the leftist establishment 8/
It wasn’t just Rush, but I’d also been lied to about conservatives in general, realizing that by speaking with callers every day who were conservative & responding fairly & w curiosity to my arguments on the air. Rush made that medium, & experience, possible 9/

For an explanation of the attitude of the dems to Rush’s passing, I would invite you to re-read Wisdom 2:12, Vs17-18. It will then be very clear as to their motivations.

But Don! If they ever admitted that their opponents were less than absolute evil, that would mean they themselves were less special and holy!

We can’t possibly have that now, can we?

(Goodbye, Rush. Fare thee well.)

You need to include all the verses from 12 through 18. There is such a thing as prophetic responsibility. Ezekiel 3:17-21 speaks to the responsibilities of a prophet to admonish sinners. The verses between verse 12 and 17-18 shows the admonishment of sinners. From Cain killing Abel to the deaths of St. John the Baptist, Christ, and St. Stephen it has always been easier for sinners to kill God’s righteous ones. Too much modern mercy has led to sin enablement.
