Seventh century Benedictine abbess, Famed for her visions and miracles. One story told of her is that a donkey used to carry laundry that she and her nuns washed. One day the donkey was killed by a wolf. The wolf confessed what he had done to the abbess who forgave him on condition that he carry the laundry. So the wolf did for the rest of his life. The place where the donkey allegedly was killed was marked with a chapel.
