Random Thoughts on the Elections

1.  The Democrats will overplay their hand, because that is what they always do.  With their majorities they will pass all sorts of insane measures which will be vetoed by Trump.

2.  Trump will be impeached for the third time, even though the Democrats lack the votes to convict and remove him in the Senate.

3.  JD Vance, a young man in political terms, will decide not to run for President in 2028, because he is too closely associated with Trump, and Trump would attempt to control his campaign, and attack him if he differs one iota from him. Vance will then either take a sabbatical  from politics, or attempt to regain his Senate seat in Ohio.  That will clear a path for either Rubio or DeSantis if they decide to run, although each may decide that 2028, with Trump still in office, is not a good year to run.  Whoever the GOP candidate will be, he or she will run against the insane Democrat controlled Congress.

4.  Trump will be unable to get any judicial nominations through the Senate.

5.  Trump will attempt to conclude the Iran War prior to the new Congress being seated.

6.  Trump will attempt to rule, as best he can, through Executive Orders, legislation he would approve of simply impossible of being passed through the new Congress.

7.  With Democrat inroads in the South, the Republicans, for the moment, lack a strong regional base.

8.  The Republican infighting over this election will be both ferocious and necessary.

On top of fighting a cold, two parent teacher conferences, an orthodontic evaluation and cleaning a pile of leaves, I forgot to get to the polls. Not that it would have mattered.

I just want this year to be over.

I pray that the Democrats and the pro-Islam adherents now in Congress will not be able to do permanent damage to the country and that historical cycles will act.
