Human nature hasn’t changed much since Adam and Eve.
The problem now is that it is unfortunately geometrically magnified with social media. And they can even manufacture believable gossip with the assistance of AI.
We really are going down the rabbit hole.
What *has* changed is the bottom right scene.
Her repentance is much less likely.
Thus the (very likely fruitless) confrontation is less likely too.
