The Devil’s future…
It suddenly occurred to me that the Satan’s situation becomes worse and worse as men refuse God’s company and must go to the place prepared for the Devil and his angels.
I imagine it must be very irksome to Satan to have “his” place polluted by even one “image and likeness of God,” let alone the multitudes who have through final impenitence gone there. (Some human beings have a similar aversion to any likenesses of Christ.)
Perhaps the torments Satan inflicts on the damned are partially motivated by the image of the Almighty that is still (brokenly) stamped on each one of them and the frustration of having these unwelcome boarders who literally have nowhere else to go.
Wise advice. Well, I know I am unworthy of God’s blessings, so that makes me very thankful to Him that He acts as a Father in treating me. Good post as always, Donald.
