Parody of course, but somehow I would be relieved if it were true. The 12 year old can at least grow up. I have been hearing rumors that Sister Calamus is greatly disappointed with the Pope’s twitter operation.

Better than a priest with a Grinder account.
It should be a canonical requirement that anything posted on the Pope’s X account is only in Latin.
Love the coffee cup! 😀
He should have no Twitter account. The Holy See has a press office (emember Dr. Navarro-Valls?). If they insist on posting, have the press agents make the posts under the byline of ‘press office’.

Many years ago, a traditionalist priest of my acquaintance offered a rule of thumb which he maintained was of antique provenance, “the Pope’s not supposed to say too much”. (He was a critic of JPii for this reason, as was Christopher Ferrara). I’d be pleased if he gave ordinary homilies on the day’s lectionary and issued various documents to clean up the mess Francis left behind. Of course, that’s not what he’s going to do.
To be fair, I’ve taught many 12-year-old girls who were the soul of good sense (not all of course)
Art:
JPII was a trained actor who negotiated and survived two totalitarian states and weighed his words far better than Cranky Frank or Leo.
Donald, your reference to Sister Calamus suggests that Pope Watch may be returning. I’ve been wondering if that might happen.
LKL, His Holiness has a Latin Twitter account, but it’s full of the same insipid, pusillanimous, effeminate, liberal, progressive, Democrat ideology as the rest of his Twitter accounts regardless of language.
That is up in the air right now Frank.
