I assume the purpose behind posting this is to send a message, perhaps especially to younger priests: you thought that things would change because Francis is gone? Nothing will change. The beatings will continue until morale improves.

I’d really like to know “who” writes these communications and what the approval process is from the “USCCB”, but I know it’s a person or persons who take a strong interest in making statements such that all bishops feel a certain “fear” of betraying “fraternity”.
I just watched the The Shawn Ryan Show w/Father Chad Ripperger, let’s see who is the demon of fear again?

Don, you made it too complicated. Your concluding statement should have been, “The beatings will continue.”
I think this is the USCCB trying to look good, now that Francis #2 has been elected … They were minority team Francis at best during his pontificate and dissed his primary US henchman Cupich every chance they got.
… As bad as the USCCB is, they look to get much worse as mediocre bishops retire and are replaced by ¡Lio!.
He’s replaced our (younger than Cupich) bishop already. I’m not overly hopeful.
I am fortunate in one regard. Bishop Zubik invited the Institute of Christ the King So Erin Priest to Pittsburgh in 2019, so we have a Traditional Latin Mass every day. The weekly collection increased from around $3K per week to over $10K per week In addition, the SSPX bought the closed St. James church building in Pittsburgh’s West End. They bought it from an art dealer. They spent a load of money renovating the church and are full every Sunday.
As a body the bishops can pound sand. There is the upcoming ordination of bishops for the SSPX. I have seen and read a load of garbage from uninformed and misinformed souls about the SSPX. They are neither schismatic nor heretical. It is that they reject three tenets of the Second Vatican Council…the Missal of Paul VI, Nostra Aetete and one other thing that I don’t remember.
He’s long since dead —- and yet they can’t stop kissing his feet.
