In the sequel to the Three Musketeers (Twenty Years After) the Royalist cause is taken to be obviously the correct one.
As I understand it, there is still a Count of Paris and other royalist heirs. They have no civil authority but there is still respect for the office and its occupants. Considering the nature and practice of French politics since the fall of Napoleon III, I can understand why they would look to a more attractive past with nostalgia.
All souls with bodies are endowed with sovereign personhood. The idea of a monarch as the only sovereign is false.
All baptized persons are priest, prophet and king as Jesus Christ. In a land of kings the law must be equal Justice or no Justice.
Here in America, there is our Constitution, the Law of the Land.
