Go here to read the post. The traditional wage of thirty pieces of silver has gone up.
Thought for the Day
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
“Once the organism was created, it needed to be fed. And the theology evolved to ensure the food supply. It didn’t just ask for charity; it demanded Chain Migration.”
A Ponzi Scheme that’s ended.
This is what happens when the Church sides with the Prince of This World, good never comes from it. The siren call to be seen as a political power in D.C. causes the USCCB to side with evil and accept evil. One of the greatest things that could happen to the Church is that the USCCB gets shut down, and something else takes its place, that concentrates on spreading the Gospel and the greatness of Catholicism. Some of these bishops think they’re the smartest guy in the room, but political people know that they’re nothing but gullible children, and that they are actually the dumbest people in a room full of politicians.
Just got our annual browbeating for the “Bishop’s Appeal” at our Dallas Diocese parish yesterday. Going to write a little note to Bishop Burns suggesting he can come back to ask for my money again when the USCCB stops cashing Government checks, for “resettlement” or any other purpose. Someone once said you can’t serve both God and Mammon. And something else about “render unto Caesar…”.
Meanwhile, my donations go directly to religious orders I know I can trust not to be SJW’s, and to local crisis pregnancy centers.
Fixed it for you Matthew. No one forced the bishops to abdicate their responsibilities and hand their authority over to bureaucratic ideologues sidling up to the Democrats for a share of their social justice slush funds.
We’d better start building chapels that don’t belong to the dioceses.
Anybody who thinks the humanly trafficked won’t someday lawyer up and prompt more reparations by the faithful, for the misdeeds of dead clerics, is not paying attention.
And then our dear Bishops will turn to us for multiple “appeals” for funding (“pew stick-ups”) throughout the year.
Truly said, “who takes the king’s shilling, dances the king’s tune.”
We have a real bad crop of Bishops right now. The good news is it’s more than evident, the bad news is it’s going to take a long time for this to straighten out.
Pray for good priests we have, support them. Do anything to help them.
Can you imagine what it’s like for them? Argh.
To CAG’s point, the Bishops in the USCCB WANTED to do this. Think about the kind of effeminate, money hungry, sexual deviants that so many of them are. They WANT child sex trafficking: it means money and sex for them! Tempted? They CRAVE the temptation in the the same way that a dope addict craves heroin or cocaine. When the good Lord returns, He’ll have to apologize to Tyre and Sidon, Ninevah and Babylon.
David WS-
It might take a long time to straighten out, it might not.
We’d have to START in order to find out.
Once a few were visibly and noisily taken down, would there be a sea change? Maybe.
I’ll tell you though, I don’t think *any* of it can happen until we get another pope who believes God is the boss and has a healthy fear of his exit interview.
A possible catalyst could be a few bishops who lose all sense of self preservation. Zen and Strickland both seem to be getting close…
I told some of them it would come to this. They could not even conceive of my reference to their involvement.
