God made the Italians to bring hilarity into what is frequently a prosaic world. This would be actually a revival of an old tradition of artists placing the features of the powerful and/or the rich into religious pictures and sculptures. Sometimes their features would “grace” demons and the damned if artists had reasons not to be fond of them.

This is marvelous. Imagine the carnage on the Left, not to mention in the halls of chanceries all over the USA, (but I repeat myself), if some bold church artist did this with a likeness of either Mr. or Mrs.Trump. “Meltdown” might be an understatement. 😂
