Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Nat Hentoff, Alan Dershowitz, Alan Kors, Jonathan Turley were advocates of free speech. For the rest, ‘free speech’ was just an excuse for attacking bourgeois dignity, attacking aesthetic standards, attacking constitutional government, attacking their neighbors and the ancestors of said neighbors, &c. And, of course, it has been an excuse for shouting down contrary opinions in halls rented by others.

“Anyone who is not criminal and wants to live here should be able to live here”
And the price of admission is that you have to agree to learn English, agree to the principles of the Constitution and integrate with society as it previously existed. Oh. Wait. That used to be a requirement until some bright boy in Washington decided that that wasn’t required. My immigrant grandfather did all of those things. He would be appalled by what has happened to our society.
For the Left, hypocrisy is not a sin, it’s a tool in the toolbox.
