When we obey Mary’s exhortation to “do whatever her son tells us”, [ wedding feast at Cana ] it becomes more natural for us to say, “Let it be done unto me according to Thy Word.”
At the Transfiguration Our Father reinforces Mary’s suggestion with His own words;
“Listen to Him.”
When our life long advent comes to an end and we kneel at the manger, may our exchange of presents be pleasing to both the Christ child and to us. He gave us His Life. We gave Him ours.
Giving the very best is giving Jesus through us.
Mary perfects this gift from us.
