My father, Frank, passed away on this date in 2013. On every business correspondence via snail mail He had this stamped;

“Give the very best. Give Jesus.”
( every day throughout the year..not just advent time. )

This was his life’s achievement.
He radiated Christ love and joy as best he could.
He succeeded.

At his passing he had a tiny smile on his countenance which brought my mother great Joy during one of her most difficult times of her life.

He had a great devotion to St. Joseph and there isn’t any doubt that he indeed had a happy death.

Give Jesus.

Thank you Donald.
I am greatful to God that my Dad was able to witness God working in and through me for 13 years before his death. I was such a wretch prior to returning to “Our Father’s” home.

My care given to him while he was in the nursing home is priceless. Hymns sung, Scripture read and loved shared. He knew that those years where I was lost, where his rosaries and sacrifices for me must of seem endless, we’re finally answered and not done in vain.

God is so very kind and merciful.

Thank you CAM.

A year goes by like a month when your 64.
When your 14 it goes by like a decade.

I still see him in his red and black flannel shirt throwing another log on the fire. “Get to bed boys..it will be daylight in the swamp before ya know it.” Deer camp memories. My brothers, cousins and an uncle or two enthralled in a game of seven card stud…and Pa is calling it a day.

Blessed to be cared for and loved by parents who loved God. There is no better way.
